Kampong Cham is situated on the central lowlands of the Mekong River in an area known as the Mekong Delta. The river here is large and wide. This image of the smiling lady on her shop boat which travels around the houses, selling everything from lettuce to hair dye. Made whilst I was on the water being paddled by a local fisherman who was showing me his families life. It’s an amazing area and life living on the river seemed to be full of challenge, community and colour.

Series – Meeting the Mekong
This series is an ode to the people who work on the dam threatened Mekong River and all associated tributaries that bring life, or death, to the people, flora and fauna who live near the river in the Tibetan plateaus, Mayanmar, China, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
