After five years running heritage tours in Cambodia I have amassed thousands of photographs, here are some of my favourites to whet your appetite.
Kompong Phluk and Phnom Penh
This series is an ode to the people who work on the dam threatened Mekong River and all associated tributaries that bring life, or death, to the people, flora and fauna who live near the river in the Tibetan plateaus, Mayanmar, China, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. The Mekong is the most bio-diverse freshwater river on our planet.
There are things a parasol can become when taking respite from monsoon rains. This beautiful parasol lies inside an abandoned pagoda on the island of Koh Dach also known as Silk Island in Cambodia. I think the square version maybe nice for a giclée print in my bedroom.
I was thigh deep in the warm waters of a Mekong tributary, it was approaching sunset and the red dust in the air creates a beautiful soft light in Cambodia at certain times of the day. The fisherman had cast his net and then sat, still, watching the river water approaching and waiting for the next school of fish to come through.
